What is ATS (Applicant Tracking System)?

ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System. It is software used by employers to receive, filter, sort, and manage job applications at scale. When you submit a resume through an online job portal, it is often processed by an ATS before a human recruiter ever reads it.

An ATS parses your resume to extract information — your contact details, work history, skills, and education — and then scores or ranks it based on how well it matches the job requirements. Resumes that do not parse correctly, or that lack the expected keywords, may be ranked lower or filtered out entirely.

This is why document formatting, keyword usage, and clear structure all matter significantly in modern resume writing.

How does ATS scoring work in HiringEasy?

HiringEasy calculates your ATS compatibility score using three components:

Keyword Coverage (up to 30 points): How well the terms in your resume match the significant keywords extracted from the job description you paste. A higher match ratio improves this score.

Document Structure (up to 40 points): Whether your resume includes essential sections — your name, contact email, a professional summary, experience entries, education, and skills. Completeness matters here.

Readability (up to 30 points): Quality of your experience bullets, including the presence of quantified outcomes (numbers, percentages, metrics) and appropriate bullet length.

The score runs entirely in your browser and updates in real time as you edit. No resume data is sent to a server for the live scoring feature.

Does a high HiringEasy ATS score guarantee interview callbacks?

No. The HiringEasy ATS score is an educational signal to help you understand how well your resume is structured and keyword-aligned for a given role. Different employers use different ATS software, each with its own parsing logic, scoring weights, and criteria.

A good ATS score indicates your resume is well-structured and keyword-rich relative to your target job description — which generally increases your chances. However, many other factors determine whether you receive a callback: your actual experience, employer requirements, application volume, and more.

Is HiringEasy free to use?

Yes — the core Resume Builder, live ATS scoring, keyword gap analysis, section drag-and-drop, and full resume preview are all free with no account required.

The following features require a payment:

Resume download (PDF or DOCX):11 per download (one-time fee per export), processed securely via Razorpay or Stripe.

Advanced ATS analysis (uploaded resume):1 per check — upload your existing resume to get a detailed ATS report.

Subscription plans are available for users who need frequent downloads:

Professional Plan:111/month — includes unlimited downloads and advanced ATS checks.
Premium Plan:11,111/year — includes everything in Professional plus priority support and early feature access.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required to use the Resume Builder, live ATS scoring, keyword analysis, or resume preview. Your work is saved automatically to your browser's local storage.

An account is required to:

— Make a payment and download your resume
— Access ATS check history
— View billing and invoice history
— Request refunds

Creating an account only requires your name and email address. A one-time OTP verification is used to confirm your email.

How do resume downloads work?

When you are ready to download your resume, click "Download PDF" or "Download DOCX" in the app. A one-time payment of 11 is charged per download, processed securely via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking for India) or Stripe (cards, international).

Once payment is confirmed, the download link is generated and delivered immediately. The link is valid for 1 hour from generation. Subscribers on the Professional (₹111/month) or Premium (₹11,111/year) plans can download without per-export charges. See our Service Delivery Policy for full details.

Can I edit my resume offline?

Yes. The Resume Builder, live ATS scoring, and keyword analysis all work without an internet connection. Your resume data is saved to your browser's localStorage automatically.

An internet connection is required for payments, resume downloads, uploading files for analysis, and account-related features.

What payment methods are supported?

HiringEasy supports the following payment options:

Razorpay: UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and wallets (India). INR only.

Stripe: Credit and debit cards (international). Supports INR and USD.

The available gateways are shown at checkout based on your configuration.

Can I request a refund?

Refunds may be available for duplicate charges, verified technical failures, or unauthorized transactions. Change of mind after successful service delivery is generally not eligible for a refund.

To request a refund, use the "Request Refund" button in the in-app billing dashboard, or email support@hiringeasy.co.in with your invoice ID and transaction ID.

How is my resume data protected?

The live Resume Builder stores your data locally in your own browser (localStorage). It is not transmitted to our servers during the editing session.

When you upload a resume for paid ATS analysis, the file is transmitted to our servers over HTTPS (encrypted in transit) and processed to generate your report. Files are not shared with third parties and are retained only as long as needed for your service.
